AI bets big on Dreamliners 787s, despite frequent technical glitches


DreamlinersAir India is advancing with its plans to deploy Boeing Dreamliner 787s on nearly half of its international operations by the end of current financial year, despite frequent technical glitches in the planes.
A senior Air India executive revealed that the airline had plans to deploy Dreamliners on more than 40 per cent on its global operations by March 2014.
The official added that the Delhi-Shanghai route would be operated by a Dreamliner from mid of December this year. On the Delhi-Tokyo route, the Boeing 777-200LR plane would also be replaced with a Dreamliner.
